Travelling, just like any initiative in SAFe, needs planning — specially where to go (i.e., “The End, Objective or Destination”) and having the flexibility in the details (i.e., “The Means or the How”) because there are a lot of things, unknown, that could happen.
We (my wife, son, daughter, and I) are travelling to the Philippines and Australia for three weeks.
Three weeks is not much of a time, so we will try to create as much memories — and just enough rest — as we can within this timeframe.
My wife — the absolute best planner that I have ever met — got started with planning (e.g., budgeting, hotel selections and booking, schedules and many more) months before this travel.
My succeeding posts are about our travel to the Philippines and Australia… and we are taking SAFe and the Lean Agile Way of Living with us… and see how others outside of the USA are doing with the Lean Agile Way of Living. Each post will have a Key Idea for you to ponder upon if you wish.
Our bags are packed and we are ready to go… please follow us as we go through this incredible and exciting journey!
Key Idea: Planning is essential. Action without planning is the cause of failure, stress, panic, and underachievement.
There are many other ideas like this — short but sweet ideas — in my new book, ‘SAFe (6.0) Is like …’ . It is available on Amazon… and it has reached ‘# 1 New Release’ several times! Check it out.
